Treasure Island Music Festival 2016

The final iteration of the festival that the Bay Area has grown to call Treasure Island Music Festival came and went in epic fashion by way of torrential downpour throughout its final ever weekend. Despite the sub-optimal conditions, it was a fun weekend. After all, why let a little rain ruin all the fun?

Artists in this set include Deafheaven, Ice Cube, Sofi Tukker, Purity Ring, Tycho, Mac DeMarco, Young Thug, and Sylvan Esso.

Lollapalooza Berlin 2016

A friend and I took a Europe trip toward the end of the summer in 2016 with stops in London, Amsterdam, Prague, then to Germany to visit Vilseck, Nurnberg, and Berlin. We structured our itinerary to end our trip in Berlin and attend Lollapalooza's sister festival.

The artists in posted here are Major Lazer, New Order, James Blake, G-Eazy, Jagwar Ma, Years & Years, Dubioza Kolektiv, and Radiohead from afar. Kind of a long story why I couldn't get pit access to Radiohead, unfortunately.

Noise Pop 2016

One of the biggest weeks of the calendar year is when Noise Pop takes place at the end of each February, and I've been fortunate to be one of the house photographers each year since 2012.

Artists in this batch include Diane Coffee, Hazel English, Heartwatch, BANTA, Rin Tin Tiger, The Thermals, PARTYBABY, and Vince Staples.

Treasure Island Music Festival 2015

The 2015 edition of Treasure Island Music Festival was the first time that I had been to the festival in six years, and the first time that I had done so with press credentials. Needless to say, it was pretty fun to go back to the island.

Artists in this photo set include The National, deadmau5's dome, Father John Misty, CHVRCHES, Run the Jewels, Bob Moses, Ex Hex, Jose Gonzalez, Drive Like Jehu, The War On Drugs, Panda Bear, FKA Twigs, Deerhunter,

Under Armour / Bay 2 Breakers 2014

In 2014, I was contracted by Under Armour and its subsidiary, Map My Run, to be one of their staff photographers for that year's edition of Bay 2 Breakers. I was one of UA's three photographers during the race. While I was stationed at the beginning of the race taking portraits of the company's sponsored runners, there was one photographer in the middle of the course, and the third taking photos at the finish line.

It was the first time that I actually got to see runners actually take the race seriously. I live a stone's throw away from the Panhandle where all usually get to see are the costumed partiers in the streets.
